including PTSD. My treatment approach is tailored to each individual's specific needs, utilizing both conventional pharmaceutical treatments and alternative non-drug treatments such as home-based biofeedback and cannabinoid-based therapies.

FAQ's
  • Can I book an in-person session or only an online session?
Absolutely! Sessions can take place either in-person at the clinic OR online. The clinic's address is 888888 and appointments can be booked by leaving your details at the "contact us" form.
  • What is online therapy?
Online therapy refers to the delivery of qualified mental health counseling through the internet, typically via phone or live video chat. From the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, this practice—also known as teletherapy, telemental health, e-therapy, or online counseling—has rapidly increased in popularity. It enables a patient to communicate with a licensed therapist from the privacy and comfort of their own home.
  • Is online therapy effective as in-person therapy?
In general, studies show teletherapy works very well. A meta study that reviewed 755 journal articles found video conferencing to be just as effective as in-person care in most cases. Another study in the Journal of Affective Disorders compared a group of people receiving internet-based CBT treatment for depression with a group receiving in-person CBT treatment. The study found not only was the online treatment just as effective as the in-person treatment, but participants in the online treatment group had fewer symptoms three months after treatment while the in-person group’s symptoms became worse.
  • Is the online session as discrete as a regular session?
Absolutely. Similar to a face-to-face meeting, the therapist is in his room with no other people present. In addition, the treatment is done using a personal computer and via secure internet connection.
  • What do I need to prepare for a meeting?
You will need a reliable internet connection and a device such as a computer, tablet, or smartphone that has a camera and microphone. It is recommended to also have a quiet, private room with no interferences for the duration of the sessions.
  • What are the benefits of this kind of therapy?
Flexibility in Time and Place Because online therapy is naturally adaptable, many people can continue their therapy regardless of their schedules or circumstances. It does away with waiting rooms, commuting for appointments, and other typical logistical issues. A teletherapy appointment can be scheduled at any time or location that is convenient for the patient and the therapist. Cost Savings When taking into account things like transportation, childcare, and taking time off of work for a noon session, online therapy can help patients save time and money. Privacy Individuals who choose online therapy can receive treatment in the comfort of their own homes rather than having to wait in crowded waiting rooms. This alleviates privacy worries for some and creates a better, more comfortable starting point for the entire therapeutic process. Access for remote patients The majority of clients do not live close to a psychological clinic and even if someone lives nearby, they might not always feel comfortable making the trip or the weather might prevent them from coming . At times, depending on someone else to drive may make it challenging to reach a center (i.e., a younger child relying on a parent or a disabled individual relying on a car service). As there was no interruption involved when teletherapy started, clinicians discovered that the therapeutic contact was still maintained. These and many more reasons, make online therapy one of the preferable methods of therapy - One which allows safe, continuous process aiming for better chances of healing and recovery.
  • Does online therapy covered by my health insurance?
Some insurance providers incorporate internet treatment in their healthcare plans. It is advised to verify with your own insurance provider to see if and how online therapy will be reimbursed.
